7 Things the Bible Says About Controlling Your Thoughts.

 

Our thoughts influence everything thing we do.  It is the single most thing that you can control that will impact your spiritual growth, wellness, emotions, personal development, and success in life.  This is so important that you can find Biblical passages that speak of thoughts.  Psychology has done extensive research on the part our thoughts have on our actions and our feelings.  I want to encourage you to read through these scriptures and pick one or two you could journal about this week.

 

  1. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Philippians 4:8

  2. Cast all your anxiety on Him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

  3. Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me and lead me in the way everlasting.  Psalm 139:23-24 

  4. Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.  Proverbs 4:23 

  5. Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. 1 Peter 1:13 

  6. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5
